Mwajuma lives with her grandmother, mother and brother in the Kakuma refugee camp. Her brother suffers from epilepsy. Mwajuma's mother has a job in Security to support the family, but food is scarce in the camp and the family can go days without eating.

Mwajuma aspires to be a lawyer when she leaves school.
